The guests managed easily to win the match with no thrills. Efficient attacks and very hard to penetrate blocks have been the weapons of the winning team. The absence of Cristian Imhoff has been deeply felt by Știința as the offensive didn't work as expected. Robert Țuțea (Știința Explorări): ” Our objective for this match was to play as best as we can. The value difference between the teams is quite big. More than that, the absence of Cristian Inhoff mattered a lot, I being assigned to fulfill this position that I am not that familiar with. I don't think this match is to have been won, but the ones that follow as we will meet opponents of our value.”
Marius Botea (main coach at Știința Explorări): ”It is obvious we met a better team than ours. It was hard for us to produce a surprise, even more as Imhoff, was not present.”
Cristian Bartha (VM Zalău captain): „ It is important for us that we have won without losing any set, this fact being essential for the championship's economy. Taking into consideration what happened last week with the change of our coach, we mobilized ourselves very good for this game. It was proven that the team is united and we gave our best on the field.”

Oaspeții au reușit să câștige meciul cu ușurință și fără emoții. Atacurile eficiente și blocajele greu de penetrat au fost armele echipei câștigătoare. Absența lui Cristian Imhoff a fost resimțită profund de Știința, iar ofensiva nu a funcționat cum era de așteptat.

Robert Țuțea (Știința Explorări): "Obiectivul nostru în acest meci a fost să jucăm cât mai bine. Diferența de valoare dintre cele două echipe este destul de mare. În plus, a contat mult absența lui Cristian Imhoff, eu fiind desemnat să-l suplinesc pe un post cu care nu sunt foarte familiar. Eu consider că nu acest joc trebuia câștigat, ci cele care vor urma, când întâlnim adversari de valoarea noastră". Marius Botea (antrenor princ. Știința Explorări): "Este evident că am întâlnit o echipă mai bună decât a noastră. Era greu pentru noi să producem o surpriză, cu atât mai mult cu cât ne-a lipsit Imhoff, titularul postului de trăgător universal".
Cristian Bartha (căpitan VM Zalău): "Este important pentru noi că câștigat fără să pierdem vreun set, acest lucru contează în economia campionatului. Având în vedere ce s-a întâmplat în ultima săptămână cu schimbarea antrenorului, ne-am mobilizat foarte tare pentru acest joc. S-a dovedit că echipa este unită și am dat totul pe teren".
