CS Marta is one of the private clubs in Baia Mare which was established in 1999 as the first private one in Romania. Ioana Marta and Ioan Marta are the coaches of the team who lead the training process and guide the players through their professional path. CS Marta also participates in beach handball competitions and they have a lead role in it.
In the club there are different categories of the players:
Baby handball: to the age of 6 years old.
Mini handball: from 9 to 10 years old.
Junior 4: from 11 to 12 years old.
Junior 3: from 13 to 14 years old.
Junior 2: from 15 to 16 years old.
Junior 1: from 17 to 18 years old.
The club is not just for the female category but it also trains male category. Females can join all the available categories in the club while males can join Baby Handball, Mini Handball and junior 4; not to mention that the main attention, in the sense of competitions, goes to teenager and adult categories as the coach declared.
As per Ioana Marta mentioned that the team is independent and in a small city although they have remarkable victories through their history of training ; as they succeeded in sending many players to bigger clubs and also to the Romanian National Club men and women teams.
Furthermore, Ioana mentioned “The Stars of the Team”; Yulya Dumanska, who currently is a goalkeeper in the Romanian women’s national Handball Team and Alexandru Csepreghi, who plays for the Romanian Men National Team as an inter player.
The club is growing more and more, the coach assured that their investment in the players paid-off and they are still witnessing the fruit of their work; now they are competing in the semifinals of the National Championship.
