Baia Mare sport clubs - Ritmsport

Today’s club is the newborn club of Baia Mare. Ritmsport started officially in 2021, in a critical period because of the Corona situation that we are facing till now, with the collaboration with C.S.Colibri of Tautii-Magheraus.

The training of both clubs takes place in Baia Mare at Ritmsport’s address. Ritmsport offers gymnastics, twirling/ cheer-leading with cane, cardio and zumba for adults, and cheerleaders with pom poms.

C.S.Colibri offers cheerleaders and traditional cheerleaders classes. They accept dancers from the age of 4 till any age; which is a great advantage and it is an open door for all age categories to join the sport.

Although the club started fresh, it has participated in some competitions. As they went to France in 2019 for the Cheer-leading European Championship and they competed in solo and duo events winning the fourth place in it. Besides that, in 2018 they got 2nd and 3rd places in the Cheer-leading European Championship. Last but not least, they went to the Balkan Festival in 2020 and Alina won the Golden Cheerleader in Traditional Cheerleading. For this year they have the plan to go for the Romanian National Championship.

Let’s end the article with the founder’s answer when we asked her about the reason for establishing the club:” I like to help people to express themselves through dance and sport because I was so shy when I was kid and dance helped me a lot” -Alina. She aims to train and help more people and to have a great team to present Baia Mare and Romania as well.
