Baia Mare sports club - Galactic Dance

We all like how the dancers look elegant and we can notice how their moves are accurate and smooth! Have you ever thought about being among them?

At Galactic Dance Club they guarantee for you that you can be a professional dancer as the coaches of the club have a rich history of teaching this art and participating in competitions! as the coach of the club started her dancing history when she was 6 years old. The current coaches of the club are Madalina and George Pop.

The club accepts dancers starting from 3 years old and there is no age limit to join the sport which gives everyone a chance to start practicing it at any age. The club includes kids from 3 to 5 years old in a special group, and youth and adults in mixed groups. The club does not just have variety in the age they accept but also in the types for dance they provide for their dancers such as, Latin, Salsa, Bachata, modern, contemporary and sport dance. Despite all the support of the club which provides the dancers with, the sport itself is not that well-known in Baia Mare.

Madalina told us that might happen as the sport is not easy and requires hard work, additionally, it is one of the more expensive sports. “Most of the dancers join the club to have fun more than seeking to be professional dancers!” add Madalina.

The club has different location as following: one is on Culturii street no 5 and is dedicated to Latin lessons only (Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba), while the other one is on Gheorghe Marinescu street no 3.

Here we have classes for children, ballroom dancing for adults, contemporary and wedding dance lessons. Galactic club seeks professionalism and to represent the city in different competitions as they did last year in more than 2 competitions! And for this year on April 10th they are going to be part of the national competitions in the categories of standard and Latin dance. We wish you best of luck!
