The team will reunite without the second coach Sorin Pop, who will prepare the SCM Zalau team next season. Sorin Pop will have Marius Lazarus, who will be a second coach on the technical bench.
At Stiinta Explorari, Sorin Pop was with head coach Marius Botea from 2004 until the end of the last championship. The two have as coaches a national vice champion title (2011), three seats 4 (2006, 2013 and 2016), two Romanian Cup finals (2010, 2016), one 2nd place and two places 3 in the Balkan Cup (2010 and 2008, 2012).
