E: Hello, can you introduce yourself a little bit?

T: My name is Tom; I am over 40 years old. I was born and raised very close to Baia Mare and lived here for many years. My profession is gymnastics instructor. I had the opportunity to travel to many countries and even live in some.

E: How nice! What sports are you generally interested in?

T: I have been a gymnastics instructor for exactly 15 years, and I continue to practice individually. Besides, I am engaged in swimming and skiing.

E: You are more proficient in gymnastics. Can you describe gymnastics for us?

T: Gymnastics; It is a combination of strength, concentration, flexibility, coordination and orientation.

E: What is your frequency of doing sports at the moment? Like how many days a week?

T: Right now, when I teach 2 days a week, I also practice. During the day, I ride my bike as I do now. When it comes to school, I can say that I practice every day of the week.

E: What do you think of the sports culture in Baia Mare?

T: I'm ashamed to say this, but unfortunately, we are bad at sports. We are not particularly good in my field, gymnastics. There are 2 separate gymnastics practice areas in the city, which are separated by gender. Our working equipment is not sufficient and most of it is old. Also, since most workouts are done at the same time, there is a lot of noise and nothing is done to prevent it.

E: How do you think this situation can be improved?

T: The government can increase its support for sports. They need to listen to our needs and problems and try to solve them. All children from the age of 3 should be given the opportunity to do all kind of sports. Children and youth should be encouraged to participate in sports. Kids shouldn't spend their lives just staring at the phone. They need to learn to stand upright. This happens with motivation, encouragement and necessary investment.

E: Your thoughts were very valuable to me, thank you very much for your time.

T: I thank you, have a nice day!

E: Have a nice day, take care of yourself!
